Tideswell United Football Club’s under 12s team are leagues above the rest in new kit, thanks to a £512.82 donation from Tarmac’s Tunstead Quarry.
As a small non-profit organisation, Tideswell United Football Club relies on funding towards new kit and equipment and help from volunteers. With the funds provided by Tarmac, they were able to replace the tired uniform worn by the under 12s team – aged 10-12 years – who currently play in the Derwent Valley Junior Football League.
Cressida Quigley, welfare officer and junior secretary at Tideswell United Football Club, said: “We are so thankful for the support from Tarmac. As a small not-for-profit football club, we rely on the kindness of local businesses to support and sponsor teams/equipment; the donation from Tarmac has made a huge difference for our U12s team!”
Peter Butterworth, lime and powders director at Tarmac, said: “The team look great in their new kit, and I am happy we were able to provide this for the under 12s Tideswell United football team. I wish the team all the best with their upcoming games and hope they enjoy their new strip.”
