Crucial funding supports urgent repairs to Poole’s Cavern Café

Whilst closed to the public due to the pandemic restrictions, Poole’s Cavern, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Peak District has not been totally quiet. Behind closed doors, work has been carried out to totally upgrade parts of the venue’s café floor, improving the safety and experience for the 80,000 people who visit the fascinating site each year.

Peak Forest pupils show of bright new look for Forest School

The darker winter days is not stopping pupils at Peak Forest CE Primary School from enjoying outdoor learning and Forest School lessons. Sporting bright new high visibility waistcoats, they can now get outside and be easily seen on their walk to the woods.

Revamped scout hut ready for return

Buxton scouts, beavers, cubs and explorers have even more reason to look forward to the pandemic restrictions being lifted. They can’t wait to get back to normal with their Tuesday and Wednesday meetings, now that their scout hut has had a total makeover.

Tunstead Quarry shows support for key workers

Employees at Tarmac’s Tunstead quarry are showing their support to the NHS by joining in with the weekly Clap for Our Carers campaign to recognise and celebrate those working on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic.
